Well, winter in the PNW has gotten back to "normal" -- rain, highs in the mid 50s/lows in the mid 40s, and snow in the mountains. While it's not always fun to tour property in this weather, it's what we are used to -- and it's definitely better than touring in snow and ice. 😏
Based on the latest information from NWMLS (Northwest Multiple Listing Service), the number of homes for sale increased 44.6% year-over-year throughout the NWMLS coverage area. Yet, at the current rate of sales, there are less than three months (2.75) of available inventory. Which makes this a strong seller's market. I am seeing multiple offers for well presented homes in wanted locations resulting in sale prices above asking. But, I'm also seeing some locations and homes sit waiting for a buyer -- any buyer.
At the same time, the interest rates continue their upward swing with some minimal down moments -- depending on the day/hour/minute you check. (Mortgage Rates Since 1971)
As always, I'm available to talk about your plans and/or anything I've mentioned above.
Until next month...
