Something from Bob

Happy May! Now, if the weather would just warm up a bit (and stay warm), our plants would be SO much happier. Some of our favorite nursuries (I'm happy to share their names, if you are interested) are holding back plants we typically already have in the ground/pots by this time of year because it would be a waste of money, time, and effort to plant them now.

The NWMLS (Northwest Multiple Listing Service) reports that inventory increased 24% in April over March. But, that still provides only 2.4 months of inventory for the number of sales happening -- meaning we are still firmly in a seller's market (a balanced market is between 4 and 6 months of inventory). Recently, Redfin reported that sellers where having to offer concessions to buyers to get their properties sold. But, I'm not really seeing that. If you want more details -- for buyers and sellers -- talk to me.

The NWMLS also reports that mortgage rates were essentially the same in April, compared to March. (Mortgage Rates Since 1971)

As always, I'm available to talk about your plans and/or anything I've mentioned above.

Until next month...
