The leaves are turning and snow is falling (in the mountains) -- Fall is here! Time to start thinking about getting ready for the coming Winter. Get your outdoor watering systems (sprinklers, hoses, whatever) put away/shutdown and winterized. Check that your gutters are ready for the rains (or have them checked). And, plan on putting your gardens to bed (mulch, mulch, mulch). Also, if you love bulb-based flowers in the spring (tulips, daffodils, iris, gladiolus, etc), Fall is when you need to get those bulbs in the ground!
The real estate market continues to improve for buyers -- while sellers are not being crushed by the change. The amount of inventory available has continued to improve. That's great for buyers, of course, as is the fact that mortgage rates have crept down a little. (Mortgage Rates Since 1971) Yet, sellers are still getting around the price they are asking -- sometimes a little below, sometimes a little above (we just barely continue in a seller's market). All of this and more can be seen in the latest NWMLS (Northwest Multiple Listing Service) report.
But, as I always say, buyers are still buying and sellers are still selling. I'm available to talk about your plans and/or anything I've mentioned above.
Until next month...
